hmmm i think i'm rather rusty at writing now, it's gonna take a while to get everything back to normal again.

anyways, i LOVE houston, and i LOVE rice...hahaha ever since i've been back i've mostly just been hanging out with jenna and some other rice people. let's see, the general rundown of the week:

sunday - houston symphony concert with jenna! we parked at rice and then rode the metrorail downtown for old times' sake - and proceeded to get lost downtown while in almost 100 degree heat and blistering heels, lol. the concert was pretty nice, this very flamboyant frenchman was the soloist in tchaikovsky's piano concerto #1. we managed to get second row seats! BUT we were seated on the wrong side of the stage, so instead, we got a nice front row view of the flamboyant frenchman's legs and crotch. haha you win some, you lose some. OH and the houston symphony played the firebird too, which was awesome, since they had slides of the original costumes for the firebird displayed above stage - you kind of have to wonder how the hell those russian dancers could have possibly performed a ballet in those costumes, since they looked more like something that i would wear if i was really really really really cold. and if i was desparate for clothing.

tuesday - met up with jenna, meng, jesse, gary, and caroline for dinner at olive garden...lol jenna and i met up with meng first at the mall, with a hilarious message on jenna's phone involving meng obsessing over buying pants that "hug his buttocks" HAHA you just gotta love that kid. he was so depressed, since he was afraid he was becoming metro, because he'd been shopping every day for the last 4 days apparently. we found very nice smooth girl shorts for him that he just couldn't seem to get his hands off of, but he refused to buy them. phooey. hehe. olive garden was another adventure. meng took off from the mall to pick up gary, so jenna and i decided to go ahead to olive garden, except halfway there we realized that we didn't know where olive garden was...haha, ah, last summer will haunt us forever but at least it wasn't as bad as montrose and main =P. hahaha and meng is hilarious in that stupid kind of way, he does this thing with his hands that i think makes him look profound/wise. i told jenna that and her only response was to crack up laughing. meng, on the other hand, was quite pleased. hahaha. and then i found this retarded clown nose in my purse and made meng put it on, and then we couldn't stop laughing for like forever. meng then tried to get jesse to put it on, with negative results. anyways, we all split after dinner, while jenna and i went to sugar land in search of crescent city beignets. it wasn't there!!! funny how much stuff can change in the one year that you're away from home.

thursday - friday --> mostly hung out with jenna again, all around rice village and houston and chinatown...and then we came back to rice and watched The Ring! i was kinda disappointed, i thought the Grudge was scarier....it's ok, tho, we watched Las Diarias Motocicletas after that, which is a GOOD movie, plus Gael is really hot and awesome.
